The Sabbath Rest Study has its emphsis on each believers personal experience and their dependent relationship with the indwelling Holy Spirit. We will read & discuss each chapter in a small group (5-25) informal study setting. This is a wonderful time of fellowship, where we discuss and study together. The Sabbath Rest Study is a very thought provoking deep devotional unfolding of the experiental promises of Christ's finished work in His persoal establishment of His LIFE with-in us. John takes our hand and walks us through an in-depth and confident grasp of the actual reality of our true fellowship in sharing in the LIFE of God. Recognizing the wonder of the Divine LIFE being manifest in our personal experience as our own and block by block building upon the growing unfolding of the LIFE in us, John brings us to an unshakable confidence in Knowing we are in the experience of ETERNAL LIFE now. John embraces us as his family in this presentaion of the fullfilled promises in Christ that are solid and true handles for faith in entering into the full experience of the 'Sabbath Rest Of Faith". 1. Analysis and value of John's Approach.
2. Acceptance/Rejection of Interpretive Lens of Experience as John utilizes it.
3. The Methodolgical Approach to Scripture Study.
Day 3 Study Engagement: 1 John Chapters by Paragraph
1. Chapter by Chapter: Unfolding the Experiential New LIFE of the Promise Of Christ.
2. Group reading and discussion foucusing on the approach of John as a tool of the Holy Spirit in personally teaching the Children of God to who they are in this So Great Salvation.
3. Assessment of each promise, group personal challenge, problems and application.
